Motorsports Law
Zac Moretz attended racing school in France in 1990 and always hoped to be a famous racecar driver. He raced in the National Championship Division of the Sports Car Club of America for 5 years and was running second for the national championship in 1992 when his throttle cable broke on the back stretch at Road Atlanta. Since then he has raced karts actively while continuing to assist others in the motorsports law field. During law school, he worked in the legal department of Speedway Motorsports Inc., owner of Charlotte Motor Speedway and other NASCAR tracks and drag strips nationwide. We are active members of the North Carolina Motorsports Association. We understand the racing industry and the concerns of drivers, team owners, sponsors and track officials, and assist them with contractual matters, commercial real estate matters and intellectual property law matters.
